The Red Victorian in the Upper Haight (2 blocks from Golden Gate Park) has a weekly acoustic music showcase hosted by Ronnie Cato on Fridays called
"The Red Vic Sessions". Although not techniquely
an Open Mic, it is the place the acoustic acts from the local Open Mics aspire to perform. The night is essentially one Open Mic feature after another in their 30-35 minute sets.
Occasionally, a touring act will stop by to participate in the vibe of the Haight.
I can tell you the Haight on the weekends is the most happening place in San Francisco. The Red Victorian also
has a nice Cafe to get food and drinks, artwork and T-Shirts. You can even get a massage!!! If you are from out of town you can stay upstairs at The Red Victorian
Bed and Breakfast.
